A Freelance journalist and media production specialist with a decade of experience in the photography field. Passionate about tech, media, politics, and sports.
With a strong background in photography, primarily sports, I have a passion for creating images that capture the energy of the moment. Occasionally, I use this passion to venture out into other areas, such as weddings and portraits.
I seek to tell stories to the best of my ability while keenly aware of my own bias.
Born and raised in Southern Ontario, I have a strong connection to the Great Lakes Region and the Greater Toronto Area in particular. The diversity of the people and the beauty of the land have been my inspiration in everything I do.
Photography
I have spent over a decade developing my skills as a photographer. Working for DE Event Media as well as taking freelance jobs, I am a multi-skilled photographer who aims to capture passion and emotion in every shot I take.
Journalism & Media
My writing and storytelling skills have been developed over the last decade thanks to my time at Carleton University studying Communication & Media, and at Durham College in the Journalism - Mass Media program. These academic pursuits have taught me so much about media, storytelling, and capturing the moment.
Other Activities/Interests
I've had many opportunities in my career that are media-adjacent. My time working on the Founders Drive podcast within the Enactus umbrella had me use not only my media skills, but also presentation skills, which brought us a win at Enactus Regionals 2024 in the Youth Empowerment category.
Additionally, I love to play team sports such as hockey, lacrosse, and ultimate frisbee. I believe that learning to work together with a team through wins and losses is a great builder of character, and I wouldn't trade any of my sports memories for the world.
